shatanzo Gold Member is offline Posts: 285	Posted: Oct 27th, 2009 at 08:05 pm I bought this CD and it is a combo of the only two Lemon Pipers LP's. It is an import but i got it used for 9 dollars. I got it for the last track on the Green Tamborine LP, called Through With You. It was an acid track with a six minuteacid jam. The two albums either were the bubblegum of Leka,or the acid leanings of the group. The group hated the bubblegum but was forced to record the songs. They were not able to sustain a carrer because of the schism in their music. I like it all although it is hard to listen to the whole 77 minutes. Green tamborine is tracks 1 through 11, while Jungle Jelly is tracks 12 through 21. The booklet that came with the Cd was very informant although the Bubblegum book is better. I would recommend buying it. Logged

He passed away a few years later as I recall. Anyway, he was quite pissed off at the music industry and gave me some advice that has been a sort of guiding light. Interesting fact: a couple of the Lemon Pipers were involved in the Ram Jam "Black Betty" thing that came out in the mid 70s. Just shows how schizoid their image was from what they were really into.
